(no subject)

I leave for a conference on Friday and am trying to analyze ALL this data I got before I took a mini-Thanksgiving break. Hopefully some of it will make it to my poster before I print it on Thursday. So it's 10 pm and of course I'm still in lab. (I'm leaving at midnight whether I'm done or not!) I am literally sitting here tracing hundreds of pictures of cells that have chomped up fluorescent beads (to track their migration). 3 years of undergrad lab work, 2 years as a lab tech, and 3 (full) years as a graduate student have all amounted to me TRACING! Yes, I've officially gained the skill set of a 5 year old. Why is it that 95% of what we do in lab could be done by a chimp?? Ugh.
